महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-4, verse-17

कः क्षत्रियो मन्यमानः सुप्तान्हन्यान्मृतानिव ।
न तन्मृष्यन्ति हार्दिक्य यादवा यत्त्वया कृतम् ॥१७॥
17. kaḥ kṣatriyo manyamānaḥ suptānhanyānmṛtāniva ,
na tanmṛṣyanti hārdikya yādavā yattvayā kṛtam.

na tat mṛṣyanti hārdikya yādavāḥ yat tvayā kṛtam
17. kaḥ kṣatriyaḥ manyamānaḥ suptān mṛtān iva hanyāt?
hārdikya yādavāḥ tvayā yat kṛtam tat na mṛṣyanti
17. What warrior (kṣatriya), considering himself (a kṣatriya), would kill those who are asleep as if they were dead? O Hardikya (Kritavarman), the Yadavas will not tolerate that which was done by you.
