महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-4, verse-11

तं प्रस्थितं महात्मानमभिवाद्य कृताञ्जलिम् ।
जानन्विनाशं वृष्णीनां नैच्छद्वारयितुं हरिः ॥११॥
11. taṁ prasthitaṁ mahātmānamabhivādya kṛtāñjalim ,
jānanvināśaṁ vṛṣṇīnāṁ naicchadvārayituṁ hariḥ.
11. tam prasthitam mahātmānam abhivādya kṛtāñjalim
jānan vināśam vṛṣṇīnām na aicchat vārayitum hariḥ
11. hariḥ vṛṣṇīnām vināśam jānan kṛtāñjalim prasthitam

11. Knowing the impending destruction of the Vṛṣṇis, Hari (Kṛṣṇa) did not wish to stop that great soul, who had departed after saluting Him with folded hands.
