तिस्रो रात्रीस्त्वद्भिरुपोष्य भूमौ तृप्ता गावस्तर्पितेभ्यः प्रदेयाः ।
वत्सैः पुष्टैः क्षीरपैः सुप्रचारास्त्र्यहं दत्त्वा गोरसैर्वर्तितव्यम् ॥४१॥

41. tisro rātrīstvadbhirupoṣya bhūmau; tṛptā gāvastarpitebhyaḥ pradeyāḥ ,
vatsaiḥ puṣṭaiḥ kṣīrapaiḥ supracārā;stryahaṁ dattvā gorasairvartitavyam.

41. tisraḥ rātrīḥ tu adbhiḥ upoṣya bhūmau
tṛptāḥ gāvaḥ tarpitebhyaḥ pradeyāḥ
vatsaiḥ puṣṭaiḥ kṣīrapaiḥ supracārāḥ
tryaham dattvā gorasaiḥ vartitavyam

41. tisraḥ rātrīḥ tu adbhiḥ upoṣya bhūmau
tṛptāḥ supracārāḥ gāvaḥ puṣṭaiḥ
kṣīrapaiḥ vatsaiḥ tarpitebhyaḥ pradeyāḥ
dattvā tryaham gorasaiḥ vartitavyam

41. After fasting for three nights by subsisting on water and sleeping on the ground, one should donate well-fed, well-grazing cows along with their strong, milk-drinking calves, to those who have been satisfied (with food or gifts). Having made this donation, one should then subsist on cow products for three days.
