They declare that such a one is a worthy recipient (pātra) who is rich in Vedic study (svādhyāya), of pure lineage, very peaceful, engaged in Vedic fire rituals (homa), fearful of sin, grateful, forbearing towards cows, not excessively harsh, benevolent, and afflicted in livelihood.
