महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-6, verse-8

क्षेत्रं पुरुषकारस्तु दैवं बीजमुदाहृतम् ।
क्षेत्रबीजसमायोगात्ततः सस्यं समृध्यते ॥८॥
8. kṣetraṁ puruṣakārastu daivaṁ bījamudāhṛtam ,
kṣetrabījasamāyogāttataḥ sasyaṁ samṛdhyate.

kṣetrabījasamāyogāt tataḥ sasyam samṛdhyate

8. The field is indeed human effort (puruṣakāra), and destiny (daiva) is declared to be the seed. From the combination of the field and the seed, the crop then flourishes.
