आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः ।

27. Indeed, one's own self (ātman) is a friend to oneself, and one's own self (ātman) is an enemy to oneself. Moreover, one's own self (ātman) is a witness to what has been done and what has not been done.
