महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-44, verse-54

अनुकूलामनुवंशां भ्रात्रा दत्तामुपाग्निकाम् ।
परिक्रम्य यथान्यायं भार्यां विन्देद्द्विजोत्तमः ॥५४॥
54. anukūlāmanuvaṁśāṁ bhrātrā dattāmupāgnikām ,
parikramya yathānyāyaṁ bhāryāṁ vindeddvijottamaḥ.

parikramya yathānyāyam bhāryām vindet dvijottamaḥ
54. A Brahmin of excellent standing (dvijottama) should, having circumambulated (parikramya) the fire according to the rule, marry a wife who is agreeable, of good lineage, and given by her brother near the fire.
