yadā te ca jātapakṣāḥ itas tataḥ cārīm gatāḥ,
tataḥ dvija,
tvam caṭaka-prabhavam dharmam manyamānaḥ,
atha dvijasattama,
mām prati vācam khe aśrauṣīḥ
tataḥ dvija,
tvam caṭaka-prabhavam dharmam manyamānaḥ,
atha dvijasattama,
mām prati vācam khe aśrauṣīḥ
50.
When they grew wings and began to fly here and there for foraging, then, O twice-born, you, considering natural law (dharma) to have originated from those sparrows, heard a voice in the sky, O best of the twice-born, which was directed towards me.
