महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-253, verse-49

ततः सिद्धस्य तपसा तव विप्र शकुन्तकाः ।
क्षिप्रं शिरस्यजायन्त ते च संभावितास्त्वया ॥४९॥
49. tataḥ siddhasya tapasā tava vipra śakuntakāḥ ,
kṣipraṁ śirasyajāyanta te ca saṁbhāvitāstvayā.

49. Then, O Brahmin, as a result of your accomplished austerities (tapas), small birds quickly appeared on your head, and you cherished them.
