महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-253, verse-18

अथ तस्य जटाः क्लिन्ना बभूवुर्ग्रथिताः प्रभो ।
अरण्यगमनान्नित्यं मलिनो मलसंयुताः ॥१८॥
18. atha tasya jaṭāḥ klinnā babhūvurgrathitāḥ prabho ,
araṇyagamanānnityaṁ malino malasaṁyutāḥ.

18. Then, O Lord, his matted locks became wet and tangled. Because of his constant dwelling in the forest, he was perpetually dirty, and [his matted locks were] covered with grime.
