महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-253, verse-29

ततस्तु कालसमये बभूवुस्तेऽथ पक्षिणः ।
बुबुधे तांश्च स मुनिर्जातपक्षाञ्शकुन्तकान् ॥२९॥
29. tatastu kālasamaye babhūvuste'tha pakṣiṇaḥ ,
bubudhe tāṁśca sa munirjātapakṣāñśakuntakān.
29. tataḥ tu kālasamaye babhūvuḥ te atha pakṣiṇaḥ
bubudhe tān ca saḥ muniḥ jātapakṣān śakuntakān
29. tataḥ tu kālasamaye atha te pakṣiṇaḥ babhūvuḥ
ca saḥ muniḥ tān jātapakṣān śakuntakān bubudhe
29. Then, in due course, they became fully developed birds. That sage understood them as fledgling birds, having grown their wings.
