अर्थे सर्वे समारम्भाः समायत्ता न संशयः ।
स च दण्डे समायत्तः पश्य दण्डस्य गौरवम् ॥४८॥

48. All undertakings are dependent on wealth (artha)—there is no doubt about this. And that (wealth or success) is dependent on the rod of punishment (daṇḍa). Behold the majesty of punishment (daṇḍa)!
