महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-120, verse-32

यथा क्रमेण पुष्पेभ्यश्चिनोति मधु षट्पदः ।
तथा द्रव्यमुपादाय राजा कुर्वीत संचयम् ॥३२॥
32. yathā krameṇa puṣpebhyaścinoti madhu ṣaṭpadaḥ ,
tathā dravyamupādāya rājā kurvīta saṁcayam.

32. Just as a bee (ṣaṭpadaḥ) gradually gathers honey from flowers, so should a king, by acquiring resources, build up reserves.
