आत्मवृद्धिकरीं नीतिं विदधीत विचक्षणः ।

17. A discerning person should adopt a policy that promotes his own advancement (ātman). Self-control through intellect, and comprehending the intellect of others, along with the attainment of one's own virtues through intellect—this is the instruction of the scriptures.
