महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-104, verse-32

तथा विविधशीलानामपि संभव उच्यते ।
यतेत योगमास्थाय मित्रामित्रानवारयन् ॥३२॥
32. tathā vividhaśīlānāmapi saṁbhava ucyate ,
yateta yogamāsthāya mitrāmitrānavārayan.

32. Similarly, the coexistence (saṃbhava) of individuals with diverse characters is also declared. One should strive, adopting a strategic approach (yoga), without rejecting either friends or enemies.
