One should indeed offer obeisance (praṇipātam) at the opportune moment to a more powerful enemy (śatroḥ balīyasaḥ). Being prepared (yuktaḥ) and vigilant (apramattaḥ), one should seek the destruction (vadham) of that negligent (pramādyataḥ) (enemy).
