Trees (vṛkṣa) and similar entities are in profound sleep (āpīna-nidrā), and mountains (adri) similarly remain fixed in their own particular nature (sva-sattā). Moving beings (jaṅgama), however, never truly know the expanse of consciousness (cit-ākāśa) in any way (nāma kiñcit) at any time (kadācana).
