श्रीराम उवाच ।
यत्पूर्वमासीद्भगवंस्तदिदानीं तथैव हि ।
भविष्यति किमर्थं वै वद मे वदतां वर ॥ ५ ॥
यत्पूर्वमासीद्भगवंस्तदिदानीं तथैव हि ।
भविष्यति किमर्थं वै वद मे वदतां वर ॥ ५ ॥
śrīrāma uvāca ,
yatpūrvamāsīdbhagavaṃstadidānīṃ tathaiva hi ,
bhaviṣyati kimarthaṃ vai vada me vadatāṃ vara 5

Shri Rama said: "O revered one (bhagavan), why will what was formerly, what is now, and what will be in the future, remain exactly the same? Please tell me, O best of speakers."
