योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-41, verse-57

शून्य एव हि वेताल इवेत्थं चित्तवासना ।
उदितेयं जगन्नाम्नी तच्छान्तौ शान्तिरक्षता ॥ ५७ ॥
śūnya eva hi vetāla ivetthaṃ cittavāsanā ,
uditeyaṃ jagannāmnī tacchāntau śāntirakṣatā 57
57. śūnyaḥ eva hi vetālaḥ iva ittham cittavāsanā
uditā iyam jagat-nāmnī tat-śāntau śāntiḥ akṣatā
57. ittham cittavāsanā jagat-nāmnī iyam vetālaḥ iva
śūnyaḥ eva hi uditā tat-śāntau akṣatā śāntiḥ
57. Indeed, this mental impression (cittavāsanā), which is called the 'world' (jagat), arises like a phantom (vetāla) in the void itself. When it is pacified, an undisturbed peace (śānti) truly remains.
