योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-41, verse-35

मिलित्वैष गणः क्षिप्रं स्मृतिं समनुकूलयन् ।
मनो भवति भूतात्मबीजं संकल्पशाखिनः ॥ ३५ ॥
militvaiṣa gaṇaḥ kṣipraṃ smṛtiṃ samanukūlayan ,
mano bhavati bhūtātmabījaṃ saṃkalpaśākhinaḥ 35
35. militvā eṣa gaṇaḥ kṣipram smṛtim samanukūlayan
manaḥ bhavati bhūtātmabījam saṅkalpaśākhinaḥ
35. eṣa gaṇaḥ militvā kṣipram smṛtim samanukūlayan manaḥ bhavati.
(manaḥ) bhūtātmabījam saṅkalpaśākhinaḥ (ca bhavati).
35. Having united, this group, swiftly assisting memory, becomes the mind (manas), which is the seed of the intrinsic nature (ātman) of beings and the origin of the tree of volitional thought.
