वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-51, verse-22

मान्यो गुरुरिवाचार्यः किं मां त्वमनुशासति ।
किमेवं वाक्श्रमं कृत्वा काले युक्तं विधीयताम् ॥२२॥
22. mānyo gururivācāryaḥ kiṃ māṃ tvamanuśāsati ,
kimevaṃ vākśramaṃ kṛtvā kāle yuktaṃ vidhīyatām.
22. mānyaḥ guruḥ iva ācāryaḥ kim mām tvam anuśāsati
kim evam vākśramam kṛtvā kāle yuktam vidhīyatām
22. Are you a venerable preceptor (ācārya), like a spiritual teacher (guru), that you instruct me? Why make such an effort with words? Instead, let what is appropriate be done in due time.
