वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-1, verse-47

एवं स विलपंस्तत्र शोकोपहतचेतनः ।
अवेक्षत शिवां पम्पां रम्यवारिवहां शुभाम् ॥४७॥
47. evaṃ sa vilapaṃstatra śokopahatacetanaḥ ,
avekṣata śivāṃ pampāṃ ramyavārivahāṃ śubhām.
47. evam sa vilapan tatra śoka-upahata-cetanaḥ |
avekṣata śivām pampām ramya-vāri-vahām śubhām
47. evam tatra śoka-upahata-cetanaḥ sa vilapan
śivām ramya-vāri-vahām śubhām pampām avekṣata
47. Thus, as he lamented there, his mind clouded by sorrow, he gazed upon the auspicious Lake Pampa, beautiful and bearing charming waters.
