वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-1, verse-20

पश्य लक्ष्मण पुष्पाणि निष्फलानि भवन्ति मे ।
पुष्पभारसमृद्धानां वनानां शिशिरात्यये ॥२०॥
20. paśya lakṣmaṇa puṣpāṇi niṣphalāni bhavanti me ,
puṣpabhārasamṛddhānāṃ vanānāṃ śiśirātyaye.

20. Behold, Lakshmana, at the end of winter, for me, the flowers of these forests, laden with abundant blossoms, have become utterly futile.
