वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-98, verse-57

अथ क्लेशजमेव त्वं धर्मं चरितुमिच्छसि ।
धर्मेण चतुरो वर्णान्पालयन् क्लेशमाप्नुहि ॥५७॥
57. atha kleśajameva tvaṃ dharmaṃ caritumicchasi ,
dharmeṇa caturo varṇānpālayan kleśamāpnuhi.

dharmeṇa caturaḥ varṇān pālayan kleśam āpnuhi
57. atha tvam kleśa-jam eva dharmam caritum icchasi

57. If you, however, desire to practice a natural law (dharma) that is indeed born of hardship, then by means of that natural law (dharma), protect the four social orders and thereby attain hardship!
