कारकांशवशादेवं फलं प्रोक्तं मया द्विज ।
अथ भावाधिपत्येन ग्रहयोगफलं स्रृणु ॥१॥

O twice-born (dvija), thus have the results been declared by me in accordance with the Karakamsa (division). Now, listen (sṛṇu) to the results of planetary combinations (graha-yoga-phalam) derived from the lordship (adhipatya) of the houses (bhāvas).
