महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-81, verse-25

केचिच्चैनममन्यन्त तथा वै विमुखीकृतम् ।
हृतो राजेति राजेन्द्र ब्राह्मणेन यशस्विना ॥२५॥

25. And some, O king of kings (rājendra), thought him to be similarly vanquished (vimukhīkṛta), saying, "The king has been slain by the glorious Brahmin Drona!"
