तथा च मत्कृते प्राप्तः कुरूणामेष संक्षयः ।
पक्वानां हि वधे सूत वज्रायन्ते तृणान्यपि ॥४७॥

47. tathā ca matkṛte prāptaḥ kurūṇāmeṣa saṁkṣayaḥ ,
pakvānāṁ hi vadhe sūta vajrāyante tṛṇānyapi.

47. And thus, this destruction of the Kurus has occurred because of me. Indeed, O Sanjaya, when those destined to perish are to be killed, even blades of grass become like thunderbolts.
