महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-44, verse-17

अवक्षिप्तावधूतानामसीनां वीरबाहुभिः ।
संजज्ञे तुमुलः शब्दः पततां परमर्मसु ॥१७॥
17. avakṣiptāvadhūtānāmasīnāṁ vīrabāhubhiḥ ,
saṁjajñe tumulaḥ śabdaḥ patatāṁ paramarmasu.

17. A tumultuous sound arose as swords, brandished and then hurled by the arms of the warriors, struck the vital spots of their opponents.
