O Bhārata, having pierced Śalya with fifty arrows and Kṛtavarmā with eight, he (Bhīmasena) then cut Kṛpa's bow, which had an arrow on it, in the middle. Afterwards, he again pierced Kṛpa, whose bow had been severed, with five more arrows.
