महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-109, verse-39

शक्तिं चिच्छेद सहसा भगदत्तेरितां रणे ।
तथेतराञ्शरान्घोराञ्शरैः संनतपर्वभिः ॥३९॥
39. śaktiṁ ciccheda sahasā bhagadatteritāṁ raṇe ,
tathetarāñśarānghorāñśaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ.

tathā itarān śarān ghorān śaraiḥ saṃnataparvabhiḥ
39. sahasā raṇe bhagadatteritām śaktim ciccheda tathā

39. Quickly, in battle, he cut down the *śakti* (weapon) hurled by Bhagadatta. Similarly, he also cut down other fierce arrows with his well-formed arrows.
