महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-218, verse-9

ऋषय ऊचुः ।
इन्द्रो दिशति भूतानां बलं तेजः प्रजाः सुखम् ।
तुष्टः प्रयच्छति तथा सर्वान्दायान्सुरेश्वरः ॥९॥
9. ṛṣaya ūcuḥ ,
indro diśati bhūtānāṁ balaṁ tejaḥ prajāḥ sukham ,
tuṣṭaḥ prayacchati tathā sarvāndāyānsureśvaraḥ.
9. ṛṣayaḥ ūcuḥ indraḥ diśati bhūtānām balam tejaḥ prajāḥ
sukham tuṣṭaḥ prayacchati tathā sarvān dāyān sura-īśvaraḥ
9. The sages said: "Indra bestows strength, vitality, progeny, and happiness upon all beings. Likewise, when he is pleased, the lord of gods grants all boons."
