महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-218, verse-29

अनुप्रविश्य रुद्रेण वह्निं जातो ह्ययं शिशुः ।
तत्र जातस्ततः स्कन्दो रुद्रसूनुस्ततोऽभवत् ॥२९॥
29. anupraviśya rudreṇa vahniṁ jāto hyayaṁ śiśuḥ ,
tatra jātastataḥ skando rudrasūnustato'bhavat.
29. anupraviśya rudreṇa vahnim jātaḥ hi ayam śiśuḥ
tatra jātaḥ tataḥ skandaḥ rudrasūnuḥ tataḥ abhavat
29. Having entered Agni (Agni) by Rudra, this child was indeed born. Skanda was then born there, and thus he became the son of Rudra.
