महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-203, verse-45

न हिंस्यात्सर्वभूतानि मैत्रायणगतश्चरेत् ।
नेदं जीवितमासाद्य वैरं कुर्वीत केनचित् ॥४५॥
45. na hiṁsyātsarvabhūtāni maitrāyaṇagataścaret ,
nedaṁ jīvitamāsādya vairaṁ kurvīta kenacit.
45. na hiṃsyāt sarvabhūtāni maitrāyaṇagataḥ caret
na idam jīvitam āsādya vairam kurvīta kenacit
45. One should not harm any beings. One should live with a disposition of friendliness. Having obtained this life, one should not create enmity with anyone.
