महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-203, verse-18

बस्तिमूले गुदे चैव पावकः समुपाश्रितः ।
वहन्मूत्रं पुरीषं चाप्यपानः परिवर्तते ॥१८॥
18. bastimūle gude caiva pāvakaḥ samupāśritaḥ ,
vahanmūtraṁ purīṣaṁ cāpyapānaḥ parivartate.

vahan mūtraṃ purīṣaṃ ca api apānaḥ parivartate
18. At the root of the bladder and in the anus, the vital fire (pāvaka) is situated. Also, the vital air (apāna), carrying urine and feces, moves about.
