एवं तु सूक्ष्मे कथिते धर्मव्याधेन भारत ।
ब्राह्मणः स पुनः सूक्ष्मं पप्रच्छ सुसमाहितः ॥१॥

evaṁ tu sūkṣme kathite dharmavyādhena bhārata ,
brāhmaṇaḥ sa punaḥ sūkṣmaṁ papraccha susamāhitaḥ.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: "O Bhārata, after the Dharma-hunter (Dharmavyādha) had thus explained the subtle matter, that Brahmin, remaining perfectly composed (susamāhita), again asked about the subtle (dharma)."
