महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-82, verse-43

एतत्ते सर्वमाख्यातं पावनं च महाद्युते ।
पवित्रं परमं चापि गवां माहात्म्यमुत्तमम् ।
कीर्तितं पुरुषव्याघ्र सर्वपापविनाशनम् ॥४३॥
43. etatte sarvamākhyātaṁ pāvanaṁ ca mahādyute ,
pavitraṁ paramaṁ cāpi gavāṁ māhātmyamuttamam ,
kīrtitaṁ puruṣavyāghra sarvapāpavināśanam.
43. etat te sarvam ākhyātam pāvanam ca
mahādyute pavitram paramam ca
api gavām māhātmyam uttamam kīrtitam
puruṣavyāghra sarvapāpavināśanam
43. mahādyute puruṣavyāghra te etat
sarvam uttamam gavām māhātmyam
pāvanam ca pavitram paramam ca api
sarvapāpavināśanam ākhyātam kīrtitam
43. O greatly radiant one, O tiger among men, all this excellent and supreme glory of cows, which is purifying and eradicates all sins, has been narrated to you.
