महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-82, verse-34

अलोभकाम्यया देवि तपसा च शुभेन ते ।
प्रसन्नोऽहं वरं तस्मादमरत्वं ददानि ते ॥३४॥
34. alobhakāmyayā devi tapasā ca śubhena te ,
prasanno'haṁ varaṁ tasmādamaratvaṁ dadāni te.

34. O goddess, I am pleased by your auspicious `tapas` (asceticism) and your desire for non-greed. Therefore, I grant you the boon of immortality.
