महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-38, verse-32

ततो रथं नवं शुभ्रं कम्बलाजिनसंवृतम् ।
युक्तं षोडशभिर्गोभिः पाण्डुरैः शुभलक्षणैः ॥३२॥
32. tato rathaṁ navaṁ śubhraṁ kambalājinasaṁvṛtam ,
yuktaṁ ṣoḍaśabhirgobhiḥ pāṇḍuraiḥ śubhalakṣaṇaiḥ.
32. tataḥ ratham navam śubhram kambalājinasaṃvṛtam
yuktam ṣoḍaśabhiḥ gobhiḥ pāṇḍuraiḥ śubhalakṣaṇaiḥ
32. tataḥ navam śubhram kambalājinasaṃvṛtam ṣoḍaśabhiḥ
pāṇḍuraiḥ śubhalakṣaṇaiḥ gobhiḥ yuktam ratham
32. Then, (he ascended) a new, brilliant white chariot, which was covered with blankets and deer skins, and yoked with sixteen white oxen possessing auspicious marks.
