महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-312, verse-10

अहंकारो न कर्तव्यो याज्ये तस्मिन्नराधिपे ।
स्थातव्यं च वशे तस्य स ते छेत्स्यति संशयम् ॥१०॥

10. ahaṁkāro na kartavyo yājye tasminnarādhipe ,
sthātavyaṁ ca vaśe tasya sa te chetsyati saṁśayam.

10. One should not exhibit ego (ahaṅkāra) towards that king, the patron of the ritual (yājya). One must remain under his authority, and he will dispel your doubt.
