महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-261, verse-43

भवन्तोऽपि च हृष्यन्ति शोचन्ति च यथा वयम् ।
इन्द्रियार्थाश्च भवतां समानाः सर्वजन्तुषु ॥४३॥
43. bhavanto'pi ca hṛṣyanti śocanti ca yathā vayam ,
indriyārthāśca bhavatāṁ samānāḥ sarvajantuṣu.

indriyārthāḥ ca bhavatām samānāḥ sarvajantuṣu
43. bhavantaḥ api ca yathā vayam hṛṣyanti ca śocanti
ca bhavatām indriyārthāḥ sarvajantuṣu samānāḥ
43. You yourselves also experience joy and sorrow, just as we do. And the objects of the senses are the same for you as they are for all living beings.
