Furthermore, upon the demise (saṃsthite) and taking of refuge (saṃśrayaṇe), there are cremation (dāhaḥ), eating from a ritual vessel (pātrabhojanam), the donation (dāna) of cows or other animals, and the immersion (majjanām) of rice-balls (piṇḍa) in water.
