प्रजा जाग्रति लोकेऽस्मिन्दण्डो जागर्ति तासु च ।
सर्वसंक्षेपको दण्डः पितामहसमः प्रभुः ॥५०॥

50. prajā jāgrati loke'smindaṇḍo jāgarti tāsu ca ,
sarvasaṁkṣepako daṇḍaḥ pitāmahasamaḥ prabhuḥ.

50. The people are vigilant in this world, and so is punishment (daṇḍa) among them. Punishment (daṇḍa) is the great all-restrainer and lord, equal to Brahmā (pitāmaha).
