महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-122, verse-21

परस्परं विलुम्पन्ते सारमेया इवामिषम् ।
अबलं बलिनो जघ्नुर्निर्मर्यादमवर्तत ॥२१॥
21. parasparaṁ vilumpante sārameyā ivāmiṣam ,
abalaṁ balino jaghnurnirmaryādamavartata.

21. They plundered each other like dogs fighting over a piece of meat. The strong struck down the weak, and the situation became entirely lawless.
