महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-25, verse-32

शंतनोश्चैव पुत्रेण प्राज्ञेन विदुरेण च ।
तदैवोक्तास्मि मा स्नेहं कुरुष्वात्मसुतेष्विति ॥३२॥
32. śaṁtanoścaiva putreṇa prājñena vidureṇa ca ,
tadaivoktāsmi mā snehaṁ kuruṣvātmasuteṣviti.
32. śantanoḥ ca eva putreṇa prājñena vidureṇa ca |
tat eva uktā asmi mā sneham kuruṣva ātmasuteṣu iti
32. ca eva śantanoḥ putreṇa prājñena vidureṇa ca tat
eva uktā asmi ātmasuteṣu sneham mā kuruṣva iti
32. And at that very time, I was told by the wise son of Śantanu, Vidura, 'Do not show affection for your own sons.'
