Kaṇva, like a skilled priest, caused him (Bharata) to perform many sacrifices with abundant dakṣiṇā (sacrificial fees). That glorious Bharata performed an Aśvamedha yagya named Govitata, in which he gave a thousand lotuses to Kaṇva.
