महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-122, verse-6

मैवं जीर्णमुपासिष्ठाः सख्यं नवमुपाकुरु ।
आसीत्सख्यं द्विजश्रेष्ठ त्वया मेऽर्थनिबन्धनम् ॥६॥
6. maivaṁ jīrṇamupāsiṣṭhāḥ sakhyaṁ navamupākuru ,
āsītsakhyaṁ dvijaśreṣṭha tvayā me'rthanibandhanam.
6. mā evam jīrṇam upāsiṣṭhāḥ sakhyam navam upākuru |
āsīt sakhyam dvijaśreṣṭha tvayā me arthanibandhanam
6. Do not cling to such an old, worn-out friendship. Instead, cultivate a new one. O best of the twice-born (dvija), my friendship with you was merely based on personal gain.
