महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-110, verse-6

मोक्षमेव व्यवस्यामि बन्धो हि व्यसनं महत् ।
सुवृत्तिमनुवर्तिष्ये तामहं पितुरव्ययाम् ।
अतीव तपसात्मानं योजयिष्याम्यसंशयम् ॥६॥
6. mokṣameva vyavasyāmi bandho hi vyasanaṁ mahat ,
suvṛttimanuvartiṣye tāmahaṁ pituravyayām ,
atīva tapasātmānaṁ yojayiṣyāmyasaṁśayam.
6. mokṣam eva vyavasyāmi bandhaḥ hi
vyasanam mahat suvṛttim anuvartiṣye
tām aham pituḥ avyayām atīva
tapasā ātmānam yojayiṣyāmi asaṃśayam
6. I shall resolve for liberation (mokṣa) alone, for attachment (bandha) is indeed a great misfortune (vyasana). I shall follow that imperishable, virtuous conduct (suvṛtti) of my father. Without a doubt, I shall greatly engage my self (ātman) through austerity (tapas).
