महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-110, verse-35

एवमारण्यशास्त्राणामुग्रमुग्रतरं विधिम् ।
काङ्क्षमाणोऽहमासिष्ये देहस्यास्य समापनात् ॥३५॥
35. evamāraṇyaśāstrāṇāmugramugrataraṁ vidhim ,
kāṅkṣamāṇo'hamāsiṣye dehasyāsya samāpanāt.
35. evam āraṇya-śāstrāṇām ugram ugrataraṃ vidhim
kāṅkṣamāṇaḥ aham āsiṣye dehasya asya samāpanāt
35. Thus, desiring to undertake the harsh, and even harsher, prescribed rituals of the forest scriptures, I shall remain until the demise of this body.
