महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-110, verse-27

प्रणिधायेन्द्रियग्रामं भर्तृलोकपरायणे ।
त्यक्तकामसुखे ह्यावां तप्स्यावो विपुलं तपः ॥२७॥
27. praṇidhāyendriyagrāmaṁ bhartṛlokaparāyaṇe ,
tyaktakāmasukhe hyāvāṁ tapsyāvo vipulaṁ tapaḥ.
27. praṇidhāya indriyagrāmam bhartṛlokaparāyaṇe
tyaktakāmasukhe hi āvām tapsyāvaḥ vipulam tapaḥ
27. We two, having restrained our senses, dedicated to our husband's world, and having abandoned sensual pleasures, shall indeed undertake extensive asceticism (tapas).
