तमेकदा ययौ पूर्वदिङ्मुखाच्चतुरश्चरः ।
स उवाच रहो रंहोगतिघोराक्षरं वचः ॥ १४ ॥

tamekadā yayau pūrvadiṅmukhāccaturaścaraḥ ,
sa uvāca raho raṃhogatighorākṣaraṃ vacaḥ 14

14. tam ekadā yayau pūrvadiṅmukhāt caturaḥ caraḥ |
saḥ uvāca rahaḥ raṃhogatighorākṣaram vacaḥ ||

14. ekadā caturaḥ caraḥ pūrvadiṅmukhāt tam yayau.

14. One day, a clever spy came to him from the eastern direction. He spoke to him in secret, delivering dreadful news concerning a swift movement (of events).
